Last week it was my brothers birthday and, for a change I got to spend it with him and his girlfriend, as they decided to pay us a visit from Halifax for a couple of days.
We didn’t even do anything too exciting (getting old now!) but, it was well overdue and thoroughly enjoyed.
It isn’t often we all get to spend some quality time together due to all living in different places around the UK, so it was lovely.
For his actual birthday, we took the dogs for a walk on the beach at Wells – next – the – sea, followed by a coffee at the beach cafe. My crazy beach loving daughter even donned her swimming cossie and had a paddle in the February sea (she will go in the sea no matter what time of year or the weather).
In the evening we went to Byfords for a yummy dinner and then finished the evening with board games when we got home.
Perfect.
